Since 1997 Mike Harrington has built a reputation for taking creative, dynamic photographs, both in the studio and on location.

After graduating with a First Class degree from the Norwich School of Art and Design, Mike has settled in Norfolk with his wife and four children.

His career began at ITV where he was employed as a staff photographer. Mike’s pictures were used to promote national television productions, including drama, documentaries and family entertainment, and were published in national and regional newspapers and magazines. His work also featured in ITV’s advertising campaigns.

In 2000, Mike set up Harrington Photography Ltd, with professional studios in Norwich city centre.

By taking a fresh approach to every job and providing excellent customer service, Mike’s reputation has grown as quickly as his customer base. Today his books include high-profile clients in the East of England and throughout the UK.

Commercial

Mike’s commercial commissions to date include architecture, engineering, construction and industrial photography. Specialist photography can be shot in the studio or on location anywhere in the UK.

Corporate

More and more businesses require picture-led corporate material, such as annual reports. Mike works directly with each client to formulate the appropriate look for their individual business and corporate materials. Photographs of the business, such as staff and building premises, are taken specifically and included in the corporate literature to make it stand out from the rest.

Full Service Advertising

Mike has built up considerable experience on photo shoots in the UK, US and Europe, and his advertising photography has been commissioned by a wide variety of high-profile clients and advertising agencies. To take the stress out of organising an advertising photo shoot, Harrington Photography also offers additional services including location-finding, make-up artists and professional models.

Editorial

Over the years Mike has worked on many different news stories and features for regional and national newspapers and magazines. He understands the needs of editors for a quick turnaround, and uses the latest technology to send high-quality images from the location to the news desk within minutes.

Equipment

For advertising and commercial photography Mike uses high-end digital equipment, including Phase 1 Back and medium-format cameras, which produce a high-end image of 91Mb. For editorial-based work, Mike continues to invest in the latest Nikon equipment.

Stock Photographs

In 2006 Mike Harrington started a contract from Getty Images to provide photographs for its royalty-free collection. Images are sold on a worldwide basis to design and advertising agencies. Examples of Mike’s work are available on the Getty site.
